Giving The Gift of Mobility

Our Australian Connections , PDG Danny Low and Lady Angeline, together with physiotherapists, Melissa Chan and Jenny Young, came all the way to our City of CDO, for the distribution of 250 special wheelchairs for PWD, children and adults, most specially those with Palsy. Aided with volunteer technicians who assembled the wheelchairs, Melissa and Jenny assessed the recipients as to which wheelchair would fit them, and also checked again before releasing them. The venue was at Capitol University , from 8am to 4pm. As usual, project chairman was the undefatigable PDG Fe ” Bing” Rosales Juarez, who’s the only person who is able and capable to handle such gigantic flagship project. Ably assisting her is Pp Ophie de la Cerna, who equally gave her untiring support to this endeavor.

Her smile is far more precious than jewels. One of the recipients of the special wheelchair.

Club History

The club started with ladies who were not just acquaintances but close friends. They decided to give meaning to this closeness, thus the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban was born.
