The Rotary Club of CDO East Urban, with its partners Zonta Club of CDO I and Rotaract Club of CDO East Urban, organized a Special Protection Program for Children Symposium on January 24, 2019 at Villanueva, Misamis Oriental. Topics covered were bullying, addiction, human trafficking, and teenage pregnancy. Special thanks to Ms. Faith Yatoc, Xavier University High School Guidance Coordinator, Mr. John Gabriel Lasquites of CDO-Pathway to Recovery Foundation Inc., PP Myra Balandra, and Rodney Sabio (lecturer on teenage pregnancy) whose passion for their respective advocacies translated exceptionally during their talks. The high school students in attendance showed great enthusiasm during the discussions and the event was an overall success.

Prior the talks, the Interact Club of CDO East Urban based in Villanueva was inducted. Members of the Interact Club consisted of 64 high school students from three schools in the area. Project chaired by Rtn. Christina Jugador, under the Directorship of Rtn. Daisy Tiu.

Club History

The club started with ladies who were not just acquaintances but close friends. They decided to give meaning to this closeness, thus the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban was born.
