 The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban welcomes Rotary International Past District Governor(PDG) Danny & spouse Dr. Angeline Low (center) from the Rotary Club of Mosman, District 9680 in Australia, who donated 80 units of digital hearing aid (DHA) for the hearing-Impaired indigent children and adults in Northern Mindanao. The beneficiaries have already undergone audiometry and speech tests at the Mindanao ear-nose-throat out-patient rehabilitation center (MENTOR) located at Capitol University Medical Center, this city. Orientation . Past District Governor Danny Low (left photo) in his brief talk with the hearing- aid beneficiaries and their companions, conveyed his compassion over the plight of hearing-impaired persons as the most difficult disability. He said “hearing is a hidden disability where persons look very normal but hard to recognize their problem.” With PDG Danny in the head table are (l-r) Past Assistant Governor Myra V. Balandra who is also director of  international services committee of the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban (RCEU); Lilli Christie Labis-Baharla of the  Mindanao ear-nose-throat out-patient rehabilitation center (MENTOR),  Capitol University Medical Center, and; Past District Governor Bing R. Club History

The club started with ladies who were not just acquaintances but close friends. They decided to give meaning to this closeness, thus the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban was born.
