Rotary Club of East Urban Hosts Successful 2023 District Training Assembly

The Rotary Club of East Urban recently hosted the 2023 District Training Assembly (DISTASS) for District 3870 at the Chali Beach Resort. The assembly provided an opportunity for incoming club leaders to prepare for their roles and build their leadership teams.

The DISTASS was attended by club presidents-elect, secretaries, treasurers, and incoming committee chairs appointed by the president-elect. During the seminar, the district governor-elect, incoming assistant governors, and district committee chairs motivated club leadership teams and built working relationships.

One of the key training topics discussed at the DISTASS was building membership and retaining members. The importance of creating a positive public image for Rotary was also emphasized. Club leaders were encouraged to collaborate with other Rotary clubs in the district to organize community service projects and events that would raise awareness about Rotary and its initiatives.

The event was a success, as over 250 participants left feeling inspired and ready to take on their new roles. The Rotary Club of East Urban demonstrated their commitment to Rotary’s values and mission, and their dedication to supporting incoming club leaders in their journey towards becoming effective leaders.
