TREE For Tomorrow

July 1, 2021, Cagayan de Oro City – The Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban joined in on the District 3870 Kick-off Project titled TREE for Tomorrow. TREE Stands for Taking Responsibility for Earth and Environment. It was emphasized that if every member in the district planted one tree, then we would have planted hundreds of trees at the same time. Members of the club joined in at the official site at project chairman Rtn. Denvi Cabrera’s farm, JMB Rubber and Cattle Farm, along with president Biema and the committee members. Due to the limitation in the allowed number of attendees, all other members simultaneously joined in the tree planting activity by planting trees in their own backyards, properties and farms. A true testament of teamwork despite the pandemic. Thank you to all the members who participated and showed their commitment to take care of the environment by planting and taking care of the tree until it grows strong and sturdy.A total of 29 RCEU members and 6 family members participated in the project. Check out our video report for the project! Facebook albums for the project: Our very own Rotarian Lia Andanar Yu also wrote an article at the Tribune regarding her personal experience in taking care of the environment and about the project.
