A Gift of Health

” A GIFT OF HEALTH ” a maternal and child health care symposium and gift giving was brought to you by the ROTARY CLUB OF CDO EAST URBAN. We are unstoppable and we made things possible to help with our current situation. This was our very first ever hybrid project implementing it both physical/face-to-face and virtually. Headed by our dynamic President Biema Cruz Along and DIR/PP Ma Victoria G. Abogado despite the Covid Pandemic Restrictions. We were able to helped hundreds of people in helping educate them with better maternal and child healthcare, thereby save lives in 3 different locations simultaneously at Barangays 17 headed by Capt Goldmar Jerico Ebabacol Barangay Camamanan headed by Kagawad Jasmin T. Borja and Pedro Eloy S Roa Sr Elem School headed by Principal Candolyn Quilit. Cherry May C. Roa Distributed 150 health bags and over 200 packed meals to bring home for all the participants and volunteers.

A GIFT OF HEALTH main goals are:
1. Raise awareness about the importance of health.
2. Help us reach highest health if we start early.
3. Create and foster healthy environment for our family.
4. Save lives of family members

Our distinguished GUEST SPEAKERS are Dr Ruth Semilla-Beltran and Dr Jessa Sareno.

So grateful for our RCEU Dream Team and their group leaders, PP Ophelia Dela Cerna PP Ching PF and RTN NETTE REBOLOS. Our technical support team headed by DIR Stephanie Caragos RTN Pam Navarro-Salon and hosted by Rtn Melanie Rp Caragos-Talimio

Back to back with our annual PAMALIHI ELEM SCHOOL GIFT GIVING headed by PP Ophelia dela Cerna. 200 school supplies, 100 coloring books and 13 boxes of face masks were distributed to the students and parents.

Strictly observing health protocols, safety social distancing, sanitizing with alcohol and wearing of face masks at all times in the presence of Barangay Health Workers to ensure everyones’ safety. All attendees and participants were fully vaccinated. We made things happen in just one productive day to achieve our main goal Rotary serve to change lives.

Club History

The club started with ladies who were not just acquaintances but close friends. They decided to give meaning to this closeness, thus the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro East Urban was born.
